INSPIRE ME

Thought I'd share some work done by some artist's that I like.
I really am fascinated with whimsical and slightly sinister art and most of all, surrealism. It's my favorite kind of genre. No doubt about it.

First up would be Mark Ryden.
Most of his paintings are a feast for the eyes (well, mine at least)! Oh so colourful and detailed, childlike as well. I love how he uses chunks of meat and religion, sneak peeks of Jesus here and there in paintings. So weird and enchanting!

I would like to own something by him someday for my future home ;)

You can view his other works at, http://www.markryden.com/

Next up, Lori Earley.

Andrea Canalito.
OH MY, I love the cupcake Bambi's!! Too damn cute! I would love one of those.
And check out the chicken wings.

And how can I talk about surrealism without mentioning the greatest known surrealist artist
Salvador Dali.

Last but not least is Jan ҆vankmajer. He's a film maker that has greatly influenced other film makers such as Tim Burton and Terry Gilliam who are so good as well.

His short films are some what old but brilliant considering it was made so long ago.

You can find a lot more of his videos on YouTube.

Good morning sweetie, I love Mark Ryden too!

His illustrations are amazing, and I try not to look too closely though because there would always be something a bit eerie that would scare me a bit.

His work is very distinctive and yet child-like.
